This is a study of Modernism and its successor Postmodernism. The aim of the study is to bridge the gap between Modernism as a literary movement and Postmodernism which has always been known for its antagonistic relationship with its predecessor. Yeats's selected poems and in particular the epiphanic experience they represent, do not only bridge the gap between the two movements, but also unravel the long unnoticed predictions of Postmodernism in Modernism's cannonical works.
