THOMAS COMMERFORD MARTIN (1856-1924) was an English-born electrical engineer who came to the United States in 1877 and worked with Thomas Edison before becoming editor of Electrical World magazine in 1883. A founding member of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers along with Edison and Nikola Tesla, he also served as its president.
