J.M. Briggs is a prolific reader of fantasy and author of The Iron Series. She attended the University of Idaho to study history and political science and went on to complete a Master's degree at the University of Westminster in London, England. Her books weave together folklore from around the world and history to create unusual combinations and new uses of familiar figures.
