Bridget Morgan had always dreamed of adventure. She wished that something would take her away from the ordinary life of a 13-year old girl. Bridget Morgan had always dreamed of adventure. She wished that something would take her away from the ordinary life of a 13-year old girl. Orphaned at birth, she yearned to grow beyond her kind (yet boring) adopted family, and perhaps discover where she really came from, like the characters in the mythological stories that she loved reading. Bridget gets more excitement than she could have ever imagined when she meets a Greek god and discovers that all of the great myths of the past are stories from the history of a very real place: Otherworld. Eager to embark on her adventure, Bridget travels to this realm to attend the Otherworld Academy of Mortal Witches. There she is trained by gods and goddesses from across the world's pantheons, and discovers a sense of belonging she thought impossible to her. But for all of its beauty and magic, Otherworld is a dangerous place, filled with scary monsters, dark tunnels, and an evil of the past thought dead, but that may still lie in wait... Bridget's courage and strength will be tested before her first year of education is over.
Autorenporträt
My first long novel, "Emerald Hawks Flight", is based on childhood memories. Emerald's coming of age story opened the door to more novels, then to more children's books, and short stories that just walked in, sat down, and told me their stories. They stayed until I got it right. All edited and ready for flight. As a child, I imagined spinning straw into gold, writing something beautiful and bold. I knew who I was, and what I was here to do. I was to learn the depth of what "Once upon a time" foretold the Shadow's deep drawl and the troll's lazy tolls. I was to become an author. A story grower and a line drawer . an icicle mower of ink. a particle examiner of fractions, bones, gnomes and moody moans hiding in somber back woods where whimpers, sobs and howls roam. Doodling threads and twines and vines of ink take over each time should I not find the words. They go racing to the edges of pages to frame the not yet read. The lines lay lazy like stretched out cats waiting to creep further into the pages, hoping to flush out a flustered purple tome. My books began this way. I mostly use a wider spacing in my books; it makes them much easier to read. I love to share my books with readers. I hope my stories are factual, funny, or romantic, intense, emotional, and contains your kind of magic.
