He was a practicing physician in Moldova who, upon arrival in Canada started working in a pizza store and delivered newspapers.Later on, he went to a Nursing school in Ottawa and also completed the Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Massachusetts. Finally, he completed the Family Medicine residency at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and a Family Medicine - Anesthesia residency at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. After working for 10 years as a GP-Anesthesiologist in New Brunswick, Canada, he moved to South Carolina where he practices Emergency Medicine.
