Curtis Raynor is a student of American history who draws from its high points the inspiration and determination needed to confront the wrongs of its lows. When not peering into the past or examining the present, he and life partner, Kathy, can be found wandering the beaches and mountains of California (avoiding snakes, bears, and mosquitos wherever possible) on the lookout for that special stone, shell, fallen branch, or piece of driftwood.
