Not a lot is known about Christopher B. Booth, who published prolifically in the pulp magazines of the early 20th century-primarily penning mysteries and westerns. He published 20 books under his name and the pseudonym "John Jay Chichester," all released by Chelsea House. Chelsea was the book publishing arm of Street & Smith, a leading magazine publisher, and all of their releases had originally appeared in Street & Smith publications, most notable Detective Story Magazine, which had become one of the leading mystery venues of the time.
