Born and raised in Annapolis, Md, Dontay R.L Saunders, AKA The Shepperd, is a indigenous American with family roots from Kentucky. He is a highly sought-after author, Entertainer/Songwriter/Composer, motivational speaker, and entrepreneur with a charming and enigmatic personality that helps him captivate and inspire his audiences. He has had the privilege to be mentored by Dr. Delbert Blair, Dr. Phil Valentine (metaphysicians), and Dr. John H. Clarke (Historian). After High School, he attended the Art Institute of Washington to study Audio Production. Dontay has also completed the 730-hour professional Massage Therapy program and is currently associated with the Fortis Institute-Towson. Dontay is the founder of Aunkcestors R' US and the owner of the Famile Records and has released an album available on iTunes under the title "Youth Revival." A simple minute with him, and you can sense his keen intellectual habits and passion for music. As an artist, his creative process is simply looking at the world around him and responding to it. His music tells a story, and his lyrics are fascinating and unique. In a world drowning in mediocrity, his music has the power to inspire, and it is a beacon for the lost.
