Ray Cruz is a young undercover DEA agent whose mission is to infiltrate one of Mexico's most powerful and secretive cartels. His talents fuel his rise through the ranks, and it's not long before he's face-to-face with the dangerous and enigmatic cartel leader known as the Condor. The scope of the cartel's power becomes startlingly clear when it's revealed that a tragic plane crash involving Mexico's president wasn't an accident but an assassination. The dangers grow as Ray Cruz climbs higher within the cartel, getting closer and closer to the Condor, and the level of corruption he sees becomes more shocking with each passing day. Ray must right himself through various twists and turns to ensure that his moral compass reads true. But the more time he spends within the cartel, the more confused he becomes. And when revelations surface regarding the former president, Ray asks himself whether the bad guys might be the good guys-and whom he should really be working for. Filled with high stakes and intrigue, The Kingdom Shall Fall is the compelling second installment of the chilling Until Philosophers Become Kings series. Writing with extraordinary attention to detail, author Chris Thomas offers a fictional peek into Mexico's shadow government that will leave you breathless.
