Judith A. Allen is Ralph Walter Professor of History at Indiana University, Associate Editor of the Journal of American History, and Senior Research Fellow of the Kinsey Institute. Hallimeda E. Allinson is a doctoral candidate in the Department of History at Indiana University and currently serves as a historical consultant to the Kinsey Institute.
