Autorenporträt
Wendy Hughes' love of story-telling and delight in the Natural World has inspired her to write the Kite Hill Kids stories, which celebrate the fun that outdoor play and discovery can bring to young children. 'I have very special childhood memories including fishing for sticklebacks with my Dad, making dens with my friends in the back garden, feeding the birds with my Grandma and bug hunting with my own children. My stories celebrate the importance of free play and independent discovery in childhood; what better place to start than the Natural World outside - a place of wonder and delight, even in a city environment!
