Jamal Modir, MD, has over 55 years of experience in the medical field. He was recognized by the governor of California for establishing the first all-inclusive breast care center in Northern California in 1984, served as chief of surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital for 8 years, and on the board of medical staff for several years. A self-proclaimed misfit, Dr. Modir found himself on the cusp of transitional change on numerous occasions throughout his lifetime. He has raised 7 children, many who are involved in teaching higher education (professorial) at Stanford, Berkeley, and the UC System.
