Along the way, Charlo and her newfound friends go on a wild ride across the stars to defeat her race-including her corrupt, power-hungry former superior-and break free from the Veimurian's threat of hostility towards all life in the galaxy. Charlo herself goes on a journey of self-discovery and healing through the many battles she faces, and she learns more about her past that encourages her that she too can change, even as the last non-hostile member of her race that remains.

This two-part novel was written by Victoria Constance as two separate novels in 2019. After some consideration, she chose to significantly revise and lengthen both novels, and chose to combine them both into a singular novel with two "books."
