He is the author of several other unpleasant stories, including those in the bestselling A Series of Unfortunate Events and The Lump of Coal. Lisa Brown is an award-winning illustrator, author, and cartoonist whose books include The Airport Book, How to Be, and Baby Mix Me a Drink, as well as the New York Times bestseller The Latke Who Couldn't Stop Screaming by Lemony Snicket. Her latest books are The Phantom Twin, a graphic novel for teens, and Long Story Short, a collection of book review comics.
