He moved to the United States as a young adult, where he would go on to become a prominent figure in the field of self-help and mysticism. Goddard is best known for teaching the power of human imagination, asserting that it is omnificent, meaning it has limitless power, and is, in essence, divine. He believed that one could achieve anything by truly believing in it and embodying the feeling of already having it. Neville Goddard passed away on October 1, 1972, in West Hollywood, California, at the age of 67. He was the son of Joseph Nathaniel Goddard and Wilhelmina Goddard, and had two children, Victoria and Joseph Neville Goddard.
