Environmental protection in Nigeria, especially in her manufacturing, oil and gas industries is in a chaotic and very deplorable condition as if there are no laws and control regime in existence. This Book, therefore, examined the substantive laws of environmental protection as provided in the Constitution and other laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; and Conventions to which Nigeria is party, expounding the extant laws and enforcement regime thereto. It also examined some local and foreign decided cases that applied some of the substantive laws and principles of environmental protection. It ended with some pragmatic recommendations for a better environmental protection in the manufacturing, oil and gas sectors in Nigeria. The Book is a detailed exposition of the law of environmental protection in these very vital sectors of the economy. This Book is highly recommended to the Bar and Bench in Nigeria, law teachers and students; environmental and public health students, practitioners and teachers, operators in the manufacturing, oil and gas industries; legislators and other policy makers in government; they will find this Book highly informative and useful.
