There is a saying in China that 'power comes out of the barrel of a gun' - a policy practiced by hardliners of the CPC during the Tiananmen Square Massacre of 1989; and even today in China as outlined in this evidenced based study. There are also increased violent clashes between police and pro-democracy activists in Hong Kong and Mainland China; with Chinese military commanders - such as Mr. Chen Daoxiang - stoking fears of Chinese military intervention, which could lead to a repeat of the Tiananmen Square Massacre of 4. June 1989. Hence it is imperative that President Xi Jinping resolves the political crisis quickly and humanely - President Xi being a very powerful, but also a very kind and gentle leader; by finally implementing democracy and universal suffrage in China - since the Spirit of Democracy is here to stay, and will remain in the hearts of the brave people of China forever. It's also important to emphasize, that the brave and courageous people of Hong Kong are taking the vanguard - so that democracy and civil rights can finally be manifested for all 1.4 billion people in China. Author's opinion on China's current political crisis: I am expecting that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) shows a gesture of goodwill, to indicate that it is willing to evolve and improve itself. Otherwise severe international sanctions must be implemented against the Chinese government; which might well cripple China's economy. So with all my heart I am encouraging the Chinese Communist Party to come out of the Stone Age, and join the rest of the International Community, by finally implementing civil rights and democracy in China. Message to Chen Wenqing, Chief of the MSS, the intelligence, security and secret police agency of China: Dear Mr. Chen Wenqing, You cannot easily push people into darkness once they have experienced light. People in Hong Kong have persistently and collectively showed the world, that there was something that cannot be crushed by guns, tanks, and prisons, that is the human spirit for truth and justice. Hence it is your duty to protect and safeguard the freedom and human spirit of China. In short, President Xi Jinping and his cronies must either permit civil rights and democracy in China; or they simply must be removed from power - so that Peace, Prosperity and Civil Liberties can finally be manifested in for all people in China. Families often paid money in advance to major smugglers in Ethiopia. Other less significant actors often make further cash by exploiting Ethiopian migrants and refugees on the way. "It becomes a relay, with the migrants taken from one to another agent and each charging their own money. They hijack them and demand ransom money." Abductions often occur immediately after people have been smuggled across the border from Zimbabwe into South Africa - after weeks of traveling from east Africa. "The kidnappers wait for them and then hide them and send to their relatives asking for more money ... It is big business. Even police and immigration officials are [involved]" The IOM report found that close to 51,000 Ethiopian migrants had gone missing since 2016. 4,265 deaths and 1,707 disappearances were recorded along the route to South Africa. An overwhelming number of migrants said they had experienced a severe lack of food, water or shelter on their journey, the IOM researchers found. Most had suffered abuse, violence, assault or torture, while one in four had been asked to find additional money for bribes, despite already paying an average of US$5,000 for the journey. Hence African law enforcement agencies - together with the assistance of the International Intelligence Community - must bring the perpetrators of these severe crimes to Justice. Furthermore, the International Community must provide greater assistance to disadvantaged communities who are challenged with socioeconomic deprivation - so that abductions, kidnapping and murder through forced migration can be stopped.
