This book represents a study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of an English for Science and Technology (EST) program based on the Lexical Approach in learning and using lexical chunks and technical terms by students of the Technology Department in the Workers University, Egypt. This program was based mainly on the students' technical and linguistic needs. The study adopted the one-group experimental design.Consequently, a group of 37 first-year students were randomly selected, and they received training through the suggested program. The program consisted of six technical units and two revision units. It was also preceded by an orientation session aiming at helping the students get acquainted with the suggested program.By the end of the treatment, the study tests were administered to the experimental group. The post-administration revealed the effectiveness of the program in developing the experimental group students' skills in learning and using technical vocabulary.

PhD in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Women's College, Ain Shams University, Egypt, 2011. She obtained her Masters' degree in English Language Teaching from the same college in 2007. She is currently working as a lecturer of TEFL, ESP and EFL in different Egyptian universities.
