This book tells the story of a man with an invincible determination to lead his people to rise above themselves through a style of public administration that has now become exemplary. Ibrahim Gamawa found it difficult to reconcile his idealism with the realistic demands of his society. He had as a result, on many occasions ran into collisions with the powers-that-be yet, he remained undaunted and inflexible as he remained royal to his ideals. All in all, in this biography is an exemplification of a true personality who spoils of office could not conquer; who always speaks the truth irrespective of whose Ox is gored. Here is a great man whose contemporaries were awed by his personality and intrigued by the subtlety of his style of administration at the private, Native Authority and Civil Service.
