August Pierre Laveille (1856-1928), the vicar-general of Mieux, was commissioned by the Mother Prioress of the Carmel of Lisieux, St. Thérèse's sister Pauline, to write the official biography of the Little Flower. Msgr. Laveille also wrote several other popular biographies, including those of Belgian Cardinal Désiré Mercier and St. Louis de Montfort. Michael Fitzsimons, O.M.I., was appointed provincial of the Oblate Anglo-Irish Province of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in June 1951. He translated August Pierre Laveille's work on St. Thérèse of Lisieux into English in 1928 Susan Muto, executive director of the Epiphany Association, is a renowned speaker, author, teacher, and dean of the Epiphany Academy of Formative Spirituality.
