When archaeologist Jill Reade inherits a remote inn from an old friend of her father she's more exasperated than pleased. Being an inn-keeper is not what she's planned for her life but she must visit the lodge before she can arrange to sell it. What, and who, she discovers in the mountain village causes her to question everything she holds dear...her values, her history, and even, perhaps, her independence.
