Mercedes Town began writing when she was a child living on a wheat farm in Kansas. As an adult she wrote plays, short stories, articles, a newspaper column, and a novel based on her mother's life. After living in several states, Town and her husband have settled in the mountains of North Carolina which have been her inspiration for her mysteries. THE LILY INTRIGUE is the fourth in the Ann Waldon Mystery Series following THE SCENT OF ROSES, A HINT OF JASMINE, and THE ORCHID CONNECTION. Her experiences as music teacher, Girl Scout executive director, and real estate developer have all influenced her writing.
