A wonderful story of how a waterbug turns into a beautiful dragonfly. The dragonfly realizes that with his HUGE wings he could fly and discovers new things he never knew existed. He remembers the promise he made his waterbug friends. He walks over to the edge of the lily pad and looks down to see his friends swimming, playing, and having fun. He gets a tear in his eye and wishes that somehow he could go back and tell them what a wonderful thing had happened. He simply looked at them and said "you'll have to wait your turn and then you will understand."

Autorenporträt
Interpreted by Heidi A. Mengis Heidi A. Mengis wrote the story of the Lily Pad and the Dragonfly so that it could be a resource for individuals who have lost someone dear to them. It's truly a story of spiritual enlightenment. She wants people to find comfort in this story. Her dad was known for being a fabulous storyteller. He had a way about him, a soothing tone to his voice, one that was so comforting. Special thanks to Matt Jirik for helping Heidi proof read the book. The Storyteller... "Tiny" Who is Tiny you ask? At the time of his birth, March 20,1927 Arden L. Johnson weighed between 12 and 13 pounds. He was the largest baby born in the International Falls Hopital at that time. The nurses nicknamed him "Tiny" and it stuck with him until the day he passed away on November 22, 2008. Tiny grew up in Big Falls, Minnesota during the Depression years. Times were tough and money was hard to come by, but those were the years that shaped Tiny's life. Tiny has always been known as a great story teller. One of the stories that his children hold deep in their hearts is the story of the Water Bug and the Dragonfly.
