For readers fascinated by untold history, political intrigue, and suspenseful investigations, this book challenges everything you thought you knew about one of America's greatest tragedies. Amid the political chaos of post-Civil War America, Michael Drieborg and his team of U.S. marshals are tasked with unraveling the tangled web of conspiracy theories surrounding one of the most infamous events in American history--the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. As they dig deeper, they confront conflicting narratives that implicate powerful figures, from President Andrew Johnson to the Catholic Church, Confederate sympathizers, and even high-ranking government officials. Against the backdrop of the fierce battle between President Johnson and Radical Republicans over the future of Reconstruction, Drieborg's relentless investigation uncovers dangerous secrets. Joined by their wives in the nation's capital, the team faces violent opposition from influential forces determined to keep the truth buried. In this riveting historical novel, Dr. Deeb masterfully explores the enduring mysteries of Lincoln's assassination, bringing to light fresh perspectives on whether John Wilkes Booth truly acted alone--or was merely a pawn in a larger conspiracy.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
