R.C. Chizhov contracted the writing bug at the age of five and distributed hand-written autographed copies of her books to classmates in India, where she grew up. After a master's degree in finance from Columbia University and a career in investment banking, she realized her childhood dream of being an author with her debut picture book: The Lion in Your Heart. RC is now a full-time author of empowering stories with a dose of humor. She's a graduate of Gotham's Writer's Workshop, Writing Mastery Academy, Children's Book Academy and member of SCBWI. RC is represented by Lynnette Novak, Seymour Agency. Her picture books, The Lion in Your Heart and Emu Town Stories have won several awards including: Finalist 2022 International Book Awards, Winner 2022 Literary Titan Gold Award, 2021 Story Monsters Approved, Finalist 2021 Females of Fiction Award, Semi-Finalist 2021 Indies Todays Award.
