The Lit FUUUSE Volume 8 is a collection of poetry and art from poets and artists living in the greater New Hampshire seacoast and greater part of the state. The book series originated from a seed idea by Fremont resident Rickey Holt who was an Exeter UU member, and a poet and spoken word enthusiast. Like previous volumes, this volume includes personal poems as well as poetry and art addressing social changes, work that expresses global concerns, educational lessons, heart wrenching realities, and poems of place and beauty. The book is affiliated with the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Exeter (FUUSE). Some poets are FUUSE members or were at one time. Volume 8 is dedicated to four poets and/or social change activists that have recently passed: David Weber, Marion Mengert, Skip Manning, and John Ferguson.
