Aquiles Alencar Brayner obtained his first degree in Psychology (UFC/ Brazil) and a master degree in Latin American studies at the University of Leiden (Holland). He holds a doctorate degree from King¿s College, University of London,and is currently working as curator of the Latin American collections at the British Library.
