Maureen O Hanlon was born in 1954 into the village of Liscarroll Co Cork, Ireland, She was reared in the beautiful countryside of Liscarroll, always playing in the meadows and fields, studying nature from a very young age, she has wonderful happy memories of her childhood, she went on to get married to Richard O Hanlon in 1973.they had 6 children, 5 girls and one boy, she moved to Doneraile Co Cork with her husband and family in 1975, where she now resides with her husband Richard, her family have flown the nest, but home is never far from their hearts and they always make their way home for Christmas and special occasions, Maureen has 6 beautiful grandchildren and hopefuly more to come, they are her pride and joy. Her interest in story telling stemmed from telling made up stories to her children at bedtime, which they were in awe waiting to know what happened next , she would start of with one sentence and the magical story would take off from there, Maureen also read them Ladybird books which were great stories, she also loved doing compositions in school, her hobbies are oil paintings and photography, every day she travels around Doneraile wildlife park taking, photos of the beautiful wildlife and sceneries, she is also a hairdresser, she has a few more manuscripts written which hopefully she will publish in the near future.
