Should the Little Girl confront her fears of sea monsters and go swimming in the ocean? Should she risk it all and dive in with the other kids on the beach? What if she had to swim through the waves in order to rescue her prized pink rowboat? Can she muster enough courage, or she sit sadly with her feet in the sand? The Little Girl and Her Pink Rowboat shows children how choosing to be brave may not always be the easy choice, but it is sometimes the only solution.

Autorenporträt
Kelsey McDaniel and David Riley introduce the book The Little Girl and Her Pink Rowboat and celebrate the blending of children's literature with beautiful and inspiring hand painted art work. Kelsey crafted his skills in creative writing at a young age, but it wasn't until meeting friend and artist David Riley, that Kelsey had confidence that his "Little Girl" story could become a beautiful book. "David's blessed with wonderful talents, and a beautiful soul. As soon as I finished writing the story, I called David to see if he was interested in illustrating" says McDaniel. "I couldn't believe it when he shared his first few illustrations of The Little Girl and Her Pink Rowboat; each page is an entire oil painting"! Kelsey McDaniel grew up surfing and swimming on the beaches of Southern California. A father of two children, Meredith and Michael, Kelsey wrote The Little Girl and Her Pink Rowboat for his daughter Meredith, who was an excellent swimmer, but was afraid to swim in the ocean. After reading this story a few times, Meredith overcame her fears of sea monsters, and jumped right in. She now loves the ocean and enjoys snorkling, swimming, boogie boarding, and playing in the surf. "It's a timeless story", Kelsey says, "One that knows not the bounds of time"
