Sandra-Lea Burkitt was born and raised in Saskatchewan and lived there until she and her husband moved to Nova Scotia where they raised their two sons and two daughters. They now have six grandchildren. They live in rural Nova Scotia with their dog, cats, trees and thousands of flowers. Sandra loves gardening and now hybridizes daylilies. She has had a half hour teleplay produced, skits performed, and short stories published. She wrote, then read Flowers for Mrs. Claus on Youtube. A Stroke of Courage was her first book and The Little Matchmakers her second.
