There are so many things to be grateful for. A lazy afternoon watching clouds drift by; blank pages in a notebook; waking up to the surprise of a snow day. Help children understand what gratitude is, and why it's important to practice it, with The Little Things. As the two children in the story create their own gratitude journal, your children will learn about all the things they have to be grateful for. Through the cycle of gratitude, they'll see that the more thankful we are for the good things in our lives, the more we will have to be thankful for. And it's the little things that make a big difference. Parents and teachers understand the importance gratitude plays in our overall mental health. Now, they have a tool to teach children, at an early age, how they can be intentional about finding all kinds of things to be grateful for in their own lives.

Autorenporträt
Nicole Thomson spent over a decade teaching in the Elementary school system, where she developed a love of reading and sharing quality children's books with her students. This passion led her to pursue a dream of writing her own book that other educators would be excited to share in their classrooms. Her first book on gratitude stemmed from her own journey of personal growth and her belief that gratitude is the foundation for a fulfilled life. She hopes teachers and parents can use this book as a starting place for practicing gratitude in their children's lives. Nicole completed her Master of Education and is now teaching at the college level. She has founded The Fulfilled Classroom to inspire educators to find joy in the little things and follow their passion, both in and out of the classroom. Nicole lives in Northern Ontario, Canada, with her husband, Kyle, and two children, Luc and Sophie.
