About the Authors and Illustrator Andrew (Drew) Petersen, born and raised in Grinnell, Iowa, attended Iowa State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree and met his wife, Gladys. Today, Andrew lives in Des Moines, Iowa, with his family, where he practices architecture and design. Inspired by his two young children and the challenges they encounter in their daily lives, Andrew and his wife use storytelling and illustration as personal parenting tools to help their children thrive. Outside of architecture and design, Andrew enjoys running, biking, spending time outdoors with his family, and perfecting his spaghetti-and-meatballs recipe.
