Kelly Young-Silverman is a Midwestern girl living in the South with a passion for storytelling. As an educator, she loves inspiring children to discover their own voices and believe that they, too, are storytellers. Her work spans screenplays, stage plays, children's books, and young adult novels. The Littlest Star's Wish is Kelly's fourth published children's book, joining her other titles: Hot Boiled Peanuts: A Georgia Food Tour, Man in the Moon, and Where's Wilson? In 2009, Kelly cofounded Cakebaby Productions with her husband, actor and filmmaker David Marshall Silverman. Through Cakebaby, they have written, directed, and produced award-winning short films that have screened around the world. Kelly lives in Marietta, Georgia, with her husband, daughter, dog, and two cats. A Louisiana native, illustrator Roby Poché began drawing when he created his own original comic books and sold them to his classmates. He is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a master's degree in architecture. He is currently living in Olympia, Washington, with his wife and dog. He enjoys hiking, painting, and cooking gumbo on chilly days.
