In life we go through many challenges that leave us hopeless. Times when we wish the ground would just open up and we be buried to forever be away from the struggles yet all seems so stubborn. It was in one of these moments that The Lord of the Sabbath revealed Himself and brought hope to a hopeless soul. The Bible states that the Sabbath day was made for man to rest from work and to offer it solemnly to the Lord. It was unlawful for anybody to do any kind of work but as seen in the New Testament, Jesus who is the Lord of the Sabbath is found going beyond the tradition of the time and instead extends mercy and love to those that needed it then. He showed that He is above all observations and that saving a life on a Sabbath day is better than keeping a law and losing a soul. He will overlook traditions, culture and the religious observations of man to bring glory to His name by showing love and kindness in the time of need.
