In over forty years of sales, I have learned what is most effective in closing sales, much of that the hard way. I consistently observe Sales Professionals committing the sins today that keep them from maximizing their effectiveness and earnings. Today's quote-unquote" Sales Training" simply does not teach sales professionals "How to Sell." Even MBA programs at the best business schools, such as Wharton, Harvard, and Yale, never even broach the subject of selling. Selling has become a Lost Art.

Autorenporträt
Throughout my business career, sales were the spark that motivated me the most. Whether I was working for a large corporation or my small businesses, sales were the part that I enjoyed the most. I have reinvented myself many times and have embraced the challenges of learning new businesses and the greatest challenge: starting my own companies. I love to teach the Principles outlined in this book. I love sports, especially golf, and I have accomplished the goal of playing golf in all fifty states. I am a big fan of my alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and follow and root for the Tar Heels. I am also a fan of our local pro teams, the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. I live with my wife, Ann, in Indian Land, South Carolina, but I can almost see my native North Carolina from my front door. We are proud parents of three sons, and they and their wives and our ten grandkids keep us terribly busy.
