Long before his fame as an mystery writer, Arthur Conan Doyle served as a medical officer aboard a whaling ship. During an Arctic voyage, his ship encountered the derelict Octavius with a dead crew. Ghostly aberrations and death quickly followed which the inexperienced medical officer was unable to stop. Now, 20 years later, Doyle and his former crew are invited to solve the mystery of what really happened before the whaler's final voyage to the scrapyard. Unfortunately, aberrations and death begin again and Doyle must apply the skills of his literary detective to avoid becoming the next victim. The Lost Voyage of the Octavius is an account of how the creator of the first fictional detective would have investigated the legendary ghost ship Octavius after it traversed the Northwest Passage with a dead crew.
