Autorenporträt
My name is Evelyn Burgess and I have been writing poems for years. It is my therapy to help deal with the problems I was experiencing. This helped me to get it all out because dealing with Therapist and Psychologist never helped me. A childhood without a mother, being raped, an abusive relationship, a near death experience, and many attempts at suicide. I have experienced all of these without anyone knowing. I kept a smile on my face and my mouth closed for years. I thought I had to be strong and push it all aside. But I was dying inside. I turned to music, meditation and then God. I'm not completely healed but with God's Grace I am making strides to happiness. I decided to share this with everyone but especially those feeling overwhelmed by internal emptiness and those who may not understand. Please know that someone somewhere is experiencing the same things that you are. You are not alone and never give up on yourself.
