Imagine... one day you are riding your bike through the forest, where you ride just about every day, and you spot a newly fallen tree. It captures your imagination for a new trick jump. You try it, and suddenly you are catapulted into a new time zone, with mythical creatures and new adventures to be had. And who better to do it with than your twin brother. Twins Mikey and Niko will take you through the portal to get up to seriously no good, without their parents, finding new places and stories to explore, that is literally in their own backyard, into a land of magic and adventure.

Autorenporträt
J. L. Kenney is a Muriwai resident on the beautiful and wild west coast beachside town with her husband. Leigh and Dave met while on their O.E.'s in the early 1990s and travelled extensively before returning to New Zealand to marry and eventually have children. Both Leigh and her husband have been very involved in their children's education and sporting endeavours and when the boys left high school, moved the family out to Muriwai where the boys love to surf. Although Leigh is not a formally trained writer, the love of learning had always been with her doing the occasional university paper for interest's sake, eventuating in achieving a Certificate of Arts from Massey University from doing History and English papers. She also enjoyed doing community arts and crafts programmes. Being community-minded, Leigh is active in the community and charitable organisations.
