Carol Ashitey was born in Bristol and has lived in the city her entire life. During her childhood, she spent many school holidays with her maternal grandparents in the village of Risca in South Wales. A primary school teacher with a passion for arts, crafts and creative writing, she has written for the pleasure of her children, family, friends and pupils of varying age groups. Her love of the countryside and memories of the Welsh mountainside have provided a wealth of imaginative scenery and characters, to inform her adventure stories and poetry.
