This is the sequel to "The Magical Bird Beach of Long Island." When the summer birds leave this beach on Long Island's South Shore, new birds arrive for the winter and this book provides a fun way to help children (and their parents) learn a bit about these beautiful winter birds, their unique beauty and talents. The lead character in the story is the Snowy Owl who organizes a Talent Show of Wings so the nine other birds featured can show off their skills. All the images in the book where taken by the author, an award winning wildlife photographer, on a specific beach on Long Island. Using real images makes the birds come alive and will help inspire a sense of amazement of the nature we take for granted on our very own beaches. The book is designed to be both educational and fun-to-read tugging at both hearts and minds.

Autorenporträt
Vicki Jauron is an acclaimed nature and wildlife photographer who is now using her enchanting images along with her storytelling skills to write Children's books that are designed to instill a sense of wonder in young readers. Vicki's goal is to inspire a love of nature early on so that future generations will be more committed to wildlife conservation. Vicki is now living in Chester County, Pennsylvania, but she spent most of her life in Babylon, Long Island. There she enjoyed frequent mornings on the beach, crawling on her belly in the sand to get intimate with the shore birds and other wildlife. Vicki has traveled extensively but no where captures her heart as much as Africa. She has a B.S. Degree in Sociology / Cultural Anthropology from University of Maryland, and 30 long years experience working in the corporate world before she retired to pursue more creative adventures and enjoy the amazing discoveries found in nature every day.
