While earning her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree at Rutgers University, Dr. Mermelstein found her calling and passion for treating children. She completed her pediatric dentistry residency at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and became a board certified pediatric dentist. Dr. Mermelstein was mentored in the use of unique behavioral management techniques that affords the child a positive, memorable experience while providing state of the art dental treatment.Dr. Mermelstein wrote this series as an aid to the many parents throughout the years who have asked her how to prepare their children for dental appointments.
