In her debut children's book, Dr. Christy Trafananko creates a magical story that children and adults alike can get lost in. Written and illustrated for her niece, Meara, so that she may continue to look for the youthful magic of the world, even into adulthood. In her childhood, Christy spent every summer at Child's Lake with her family, and continues to passionately explore the outdoors. She currently practices medicine as a family physician and obstetrical care provider in rural Saskatchewan and British Columbia. With evocative writing and breathtaking illustrations, this story is sure to leave everyone searching under mushrooms and wondering if maybe, just maybe, the animals of the forest really can talk.
