This is not just a recipe book it is Mother Murphy's book where gluten free and dairy free recipes, tales and adventures come together to create magic. Everyone needs a special space to feel loved and nurtured where you can relax and let go of your worries and troubles. Debra Murphy fulfilled her dream and created Mother Murphy's tearoom as a place where people could find solace and healing, where gluten free and dairy free are the norm and not the exception. Debra's a Yorkshire lass through and through, whose passion from an early age was to cycle and walk in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. In her late teens, she fell in love with the Lake District, especially the Langdale Valley, and hopes that one day she'll be able to live there.Of course, coming from Halifax and living across the road from the Rowntree Mackintosh factory (now Nestlé), Debra was destined to have a sweet tooth. Cycles and walks always involved chocolate of some sort, a Yorkie Bar, Toffee Crisp, or a couple of Quality Street chocolates, but Debra's also quite partial to Cadbury's Dairy Milk.In the late 1990s, Debra moved from Yorkshire to Scotland. Life continued to include walking, cycling, and chocolate, but in 2005, along came Scotsman Jim, who fell in love with Debra's gentle Yorkshire accent, and they became Mr and Mrs. Debra still lives in Scotland with her husband and their Border Collie, eating chocolate, walking, and cycling, but she continues to take regular trips down to Yorkshire to see her children and grandchildren.Debra still dreams of living in the Lake District.
