Autorenporträt
Being inspired by authors like Asimov and universes like Star Gate and Babylon 5, I have found that expression through words about the type of story-line I would like to see in print and on the silver screen needed to be read by others so they too could be inspired. As I was writing this novel, nearly everyone whom I showed the rough draft for the first five chapters were so enthralled they were clamoring for each chapter before I could even get finished deciding on a title for them. I finally had to stop showing them the draft until I had it done and it was proof-read a couple of times. (I'm a bit of a perfectionist which made writing The Makus Nexus take longer than it probably would have otherwise.) I do welcome thoughts on what my readers believe is the origin of the group and characters within the story. It is good to see what the fuel my novel has been for their creativity, imagination, and logical progression of events. Writing wasn't my first choice, but it does provide a level of gratification that can only be found by seeing a completed work in print and in the hands of enthusiastic readers. The knowledge of being able to transport them to another universe is incredible.
