This book investigates the Malakar community and their hereditary livelihoods. With the overlapping their caste system and religion, Occupation, Marriage System, and their transformation of the traditional handicrafts management system and the tendency of the future generation. And included a ground-based (ground zero) research, which is clearly explained their social class system, income, and hereditary origin. Mythologically, they are the Bengali Hindu upper-caste community, who is the progenitor of Lord Shiva.The book "The Malakar Community and their hereditary livelihoods" is comprehensive and easy to understand the text.
