Judy Leinberger was born in Percy, Illinois; she received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Illinois State University. For over thirty years, she and her husband lived and worked in Kotzebue, Barrow, Point Hope, Atqasuk, Ouzinkie, Anchorage, and Bethel in Alaska. Now both retired, they live in Mesquite, Nevada.
