Produktbeschreibung
Wheelchair racing is one of the most popular sports for the physically disabled. It is a codified and intense cyclic activity that is characterized by a great physical commitment and a good technical control. The disabled athlete is a complete sportsman and his perfect physical condition increases considerably his technical potential and his performance; but to reach this level, we note first a relatively general development of the physical qualities followed by a more specific development of the physical qualities related to the requirements of the sports discipline and the nature of the competition. Therefore, this work proposes to study the impact of a specific strength training program on the performance of athletes specializing in manual wheelchair racing. Intended for teacher-researchers, club trainers but also for paralympic athletes and all those concerned with adapted physical activity and sport, this manuscript, which focuses on the field, proposes an intensive trainingprogram that should provide functional value to optimize performance
