Rezensionen
"The contributions that make up this volume are all highly fascinating and provide new evidence and perspectives on maritime East Asia during the Ming, and the personal role of Qi Jiguang. ... Sim's collection provides a fresh and comprehensive examination of Chinese coastal defense and warfare maneuvers in the Ming and Qing eras from the perspective of military history."
