Autorenporträt
Jim Addison, a retired English professor from Western Carolina University, now resides in Asheville, North Carolina. He spent his formative years in Hampton and Allendale counties of South Carolina, drawing inspiration from the Savannah River, Coosawhatchie Swamp, and St. Helena Island. Before penning The Marsh Girl and Other Stories, he published three stories in small magazines and presses. His family includes his wife, Elizabeth, children Sara Elizabeth Addison-Kristel (husband Drew Kristel), sons Jesse Blake Addison (wife Lindsay Chan), Allen Briggs(deceased) his wife Elizabeth Pandolfo Briggs, Jeremy Briggs, twin grandchildren Allen and Grayson, and brother Ezekiel. Addison's deep-rooted Southern upbringing deeply influences his captivating tales, making them relatable to anyone familiar with South Carolina's unique cultural divide.
