Autorenporträt
Binit Kumar lives in the United States with his family and has around 17 years of experience in the financial industry working with the largest banks on Wall Street. Outside of his work, he is passionate about photography and traveling. On weekends and during holidays, he enjoys biking, running, and playing tennis and soccer with his son Ishaan. He firmly believes that raising awareness about global warming crisis at a young age is crucial for a sustainable planet, as the younger generation will be instrumental in rectifying the damage caused by previous and current generations. Born in New Jersey, Ishaan Gupta is now 10 years old and has an intense passion for mathematics that began at the remarkably young age of two and a half. Guided by his instrumental force, his mother, Ishaan developed a prodigious talent for mental math, which gives him a numerical aptitude. Alongside his mathematical prowess, he is an avid reader who possesses an impressive collection of approximately 600 books. For Ishaan, reading is more than a hobby; it is a captivating journey that transports him to realms of imagination, a window to the world. Science fiction, mystery, and fantasy are his favorite genres. Among his favorite series are 'George's Secret Key to the Universe', 'Space Case', 'Hardy Boys', 'Harry Potter', and 'Keeper of the Lost Cities'. However, he's equally captivated by books that delve into space exploration and the diverse animals inhabiting our planet. Ishaan is a staunch supporter of environmental causes, particularly focused on the urgent need for global warming mitigation, and longs for a greener and eco-friendlier planet. Concerned about the impacts of global warming, then 8-year-old Ishaan wrote a letter to the President of the United States, urging action against this critical issue. Soon after, he received an encouraging response from the President, bolstering his belief that even small individual efforts can contribute to the fight against global warming. In Ishaan's literary and environmental endeavors, a bright future lies ahead, where his love for knowledge and passion for change converge. With an especially profound dedication to global causes, he aspires to inspire others to create a better world for generations to come.
